CONNECT SPIRITUALLY

The Laguna Beach Peace Vigil will meet every Saturday from 11 a.m.

to 1 p.m. at Main Beach. The group seeks nonviolent answers to global

SUNDAY

ADULT BASKETBALL

The public is invited to play ball at Laguna Beach High School.

Full-court pick-up games are played in the school’s gym from 9 a.m.

to noon Sundays. Many former high school and college players

participate. The games are sponsored by the city’s recreation

department. Cost is $2 at the door.

TUESDAY

CHILDREN’S MOVEMENT AND IMPROV WORKSHOP

Kirk Andrews and Mary Herzog will offer a workshop for children

ages 6 to 9, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Nov. 23. The

workshop, which will work with children on a variety of movement

elements, including dance, music and theater, will be held in Bridge

Hall at the Neighborhood Congregational Church, 340 St. Ann’s.

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church will welcome anyone dealing with grief

and loss in a new support group. The group will meet at 7 p.m. on

BIBLE STUDY

Word Study Laguna Beach, a community nondenominational,

nonexclusive Bible study, will hold meetings at noon at the Calvary

Evangelical Free Church. Word Study Laguna Beach is an independent

ministry of Word Study International and meets weekly from noon to 1

p.m. in the church at 468 Legion St. All are welcome to participate

CHAMBER MIXER

The chamber of commerce is hosting a networking mixer from 5:30

p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Frank’s Foreign Cars, 900 S. Coast Highway.

There will be food and drink and opportunity drawings. The event is

PFLAG MEET

Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays holds meetings

on the third Wednesday of every month. The next meeting will feature

a mock Speaker’s Bureau panel made up of members from local PFLAG and
