Edison High School graduate Nicholas J. Lange completed the U.S. Army
ROTC Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as
“Operation Warrior Forge,” at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash. The training
is designed to develop and evaluate each cadet’s potential as a
leader. Commanders assess each cadet’s performance and progress in
officer traits, qualities and professionalism while attending the
course. Lange is the son of James H. and Mary E. Lange of Huntington
Beach. He graduated from Edison in 1994 ... Scott McGuffin has been
named as the new general manager of Meadowlark Golf Club. McGuffin
will oversee the club’s golf and restaurant operations. McGuffin
lives in Costa Mesa and is a member of the Kiwanis Club chapter for
Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley ... Surf City residents Clay and
Suzie Lindsey celebrated the birth of their first grandchild, Payten
Rose Kobzeff, who was born on Oct. 1. Payten’s parents are Greg
Kobzeff and Aubree Lindsey of Long Beach.
