Bayside candidate forum set for today
The Bayside Village Homeowners’ Assn. is hosting a candidate forum
in Newport Beach at 10 a.m. today at 300 East Coast Highway. Parking
is available on Bayside Drive.

Gala to celebrate
city’s 100 years
The “Black Tie Gala Event of the Century” will be held Oct. 15 in
commemoration of Corona del Mar’s centennial. The black-tie dinner
will be at the Four Seasons Hotel. Individual tickets are available
for $250 and tables of 10 go for $3,000. For more information, call

Costa Mesa fair to
be gem of an event
The 15th annual Gem Faire will return to Costa Mesa next week.
More than 100 dealers from all over the world will exhibit and
sell all kinds of gems, jewelry, beads, crystals, rocks and minerals.
Finished and rough gemstones will also be available.
A master jeweler will be available to repair and restore family
heirlooms or other jewelry. Visitors can also sign up for classes to
learn how to make their own jewelry.
The Gem Faire will be from Oct. 8 to Oct. 10 at the Orange County
Fairgrounds, Building 14. It will be open on Friday from noon to 7
p.m., on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m.
to 5 p.m. Admission is $5, which is valid for the entire weekend.
