Skulls get past Raptors

Using a balanced scoring attack and a third period shutout from its

defense, the Skulls recorded an 8-3 Norris Division victory over the

Raptors at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Austin Gearty, William Engelke and Stephanie Leung each scored

twice to lead the team, with Will Shepherd and Alexander McCabe each

getting one goal. Matthew Oyakawa had two assists and Leung, Gearty

and Kaytlin Sutherland each had one assist.

Stephen Marchand had 18 saves in goal for the Skulls.

Ryder Epson’s two goals paced the Raptors. Patrick Shearer scored

once, Dane Chavez and Hunter Epson each had an assist and Kevin

Romano recorded 27 saves.

In other Norris Division matches:

Ducks 5, Bruins 4

The Ducks outscored the Bruins 3-0 in the final period to pull out

the victory.

Derek Loh scored the decisive goal and led all scorers with three

goals overall. Toby Costa had a goal and assist and Wyatt Colvard

scored once.

Levi Duren had 19 saves to get the victory.

Clayton Clark led the Bruins with a pair of goals and single goals

went to Mike Walters and Rob Rosenast. Paul MacCabe had one assist

and Jeffrey Ivora finished with 22 saves.

TR 2 5, Hornets 4

Nathan Nguyen-Le posted the final four goals as TR 2 edged the

Hornets.

Travis Hunter scored once and Noah Charnell had two assists. Aaron

Baca-Chavez finished with 20 saves in the win.

Kenny Eakle’s goal and assist led the Hornets and Zachary Locke,

Trevor Scott and James Shramek each scored once.

Chas Scott had 16 saves.

The Storm 3, Phantoms 0

David Mastro got the shutout on 19 saves as The Storm blanked the

Phantoms.

Hannah Pigors, Daniel Graves and Matthew Passaquindici all scored

and Jason Lally had an assist.

William Baltazar recorded 26 saves for the Phantoms.
