MONDAY
* Ceanothus Drive: Police received a report that someone in a
truck marked “Love to Build” cut the bushes at a residence in the
31400 block at 2:11 p.m.
* La Mirada Street: Police received a report that someone put salt
on the reporting party’s trees in the 1300 block at 2:40 p.m.
* North Coast Highway and Beverly Street: A man reported that
children threw oranges at him at 9:30 p.m.
* North Stonington Road: Grand theft was reported when a parent
told police that the reporting party’s son’s camera was stolen over
the weekend in the 10 block at 10:43 a.m.
* Pearl Street: A man reported his cellphone was stolen in the 300
block at 11:34 a.m. by someone who made $350 worth of calls.
* South Coast Highway: Police located a 1998 GMC truck that was
reported stolen behind a drug store in the 30800 block at 3:28 a.m.
* South Cost Highway: A woman reported her purse was stolen in the
30800 block at 2:28 p.m.
SUNDAY
* Divers Cove: Police responded to a report that an apparently
human bone was found in the 600 block at 9:50 a.m. The bone was sent
to the Orange County Coroner for analysis, and the coroner informed
police the bone was not human.
* Forest Avenue: A man was reported walking with a little girl who
allegedly tried on a pink T-shirt and pink sandals and walked out of
a store without paying for them in the 200 block at 5:40 p.m.
* Main Beach: A man was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism
and other misdemeanors in the 300 block at 12:01 a.m.
* Main Beach: A Costa Mesa resident was arrested on suspicion of
being under the influence of a controlled substance and resisting a
police officer in the 300 block at 12:25 a.m.
* Saint Ann’s Drive: A man reported his white Ford Ranger was
stolen in the 300 block at 2:18 p.m.
* South Coast Highway: A tow truck was reported stolen in the 1700
block at 6:45 a.m.
* South Coast Highway: A convenience store employee reported he
was punched by a co-worker in the 600 block at 10:11 p.m.
SATURDAY
* Cliff Drive: A Capistrano Beach man was arrested on suspicion of
driving under the influence, hit-and-run, possessing false
identification and driving without a license in the 300 block at 8:58
p.m.
* Dunnegan Drive: Police called the Orange County Sheriff’s
Department bomb squad to assist in disposing a 12-pound canister of
gun powder that was reportedly left at a residence by the former
owners in the 500 block at 11:18 a.m.
* Forest Avenue: A man was arrested on suspicion of making
terrorist threats after allegedly threatening to kill a man and his
family in the 200 block at 2:51 p.m.
* Ocean Avenue: A San Juan Capistrano man was arrested on
suspicion of being drunk in public after police responded to report
that a man was trying to fight people in the 200 block at 12:08 a.m.
* South Coast Highway: A man was arrested on suspicion of felony
vandalism after allegedly pulling a canopy down from a business and
spray-painting a window in the 100 block at 1:32 a.m.
* South Coast Highway: A silver Toyota 4-Runner was reported
stolen in the 1100 block at 10:51 a.m.
FRIDAY
* Beverly Street: An Anaheim man was arrested on suspicion of
possessing drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a
controlled substance in the 200 block at 7:41 p.m. A Garden Grove
woman was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a
controlled substance.
* South Coast Highway: A white 2001 Ford Expedition was reported
stolen in the 400 block at 7:41 p.m.
