Wild Woman Waterday Aug. 14, 15
Surf Academy will present its sixth annual Wild Woman Waterday at
the Huntington Beach Pier the weekend of Aug. 14 and 15.
The two-day, multi-water sport ocean event is open to women of all
ages and skill levels.
The event is the final stop on the 2004 League of Women Surfers
five-event surf series.
The event will be composed of a surf competition, ocean events,
surf lessons and, for the first time, a Surf Star Clinic, which gives
surfers the chance to enhance their skills in the water.
After the session, all participants will be able to watch their
performances on DVD and each participant gets to keep their
personalized DVD.
“Wild Woman Waterday is a day of freedom and celebration for all
female athletes,” said Mary Sutterholm, founder of Surf Academy. “We
are so excited to host this year’s event at the Huntington Beach
Pier, one of the world’s great surf spots.”
