Susan Elizabeth Sack and Robert Merrill Sutter both of Arlington,

Va., exchanged vows at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in

Arlington, Va., on April 24.

The bride is the daughter of Terry Sack and Donna Doughty of

Boone, N.C., and of Kathryn Sack and David Johnston of Chestertown,

Md. The bride wore a strapless gown, lace bodice and an A-line

organza skirt with a chapel-length train.

The matron of honor was Jennifer Reilly. The bridesmaids were

Lynsey Wood Jeffries, Christina Hertzler and Amy Sutter Andrade.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Sutter Jr. of

Corona del Mar. The best man was his father, Robert C. Sutter Jr. The

ushers were Erik Gustavson, Steve Sack, Abel Andrade, Craig Callahan

and Gregory Brown.

The reception was held at the Fort Myers Officer’s Club in

Arlington, Va., with 130 guests in attendance.

The couple’s honeymoon was spent on the French Riviera. The couple

plan to live in Asuncion, Paraguay.

The bride is employed by the Department of State’s Foreign Service

in Washington, D.C. The groom is employed at AC Technologies,

Fairfax, Va.

John and Marjorie Ball

John and Marjorie Ball will have their 60th wedding anniversary on

July 1. They will celebrate with family and friends during an

afternoon luncheon on July 3 at their residence in Costa Mesa.

The couple have lived in Costa Mesa since 1955 and have three

children: Lucille Wood, John Ball Jr. and Debbie Alomar. The couple

also has eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

John Ball is a general contractor, and one of his hobbies is

bowling.

Marjorie Ball is a homemaker, and one of her hobbies is also

bowling.
