‘DIRTY DIVAS’

OUR TOWN IN

THE EARLY 1900s

“Greetings from Laguna Beach: Our Town in the Early 1900s” at the

Laguna Art Museum will feature paintings, photographs and memorabilia

that chronicle life in Laguna Beach circa 1900 to 1930. The exhibit

includes works by William Wendt, Joseph Kleitsch, Clarence Hinkle,

Edgar Payne and Anna Hills. In 1910, Laguna’s population was around

300 and many of its residents were writers, artists and musicians --

much like today. Featuring many of Laguna Beach’s landmarks, past and

present, it’s a vivid history of Laguna Beach. Laguna Art Museum is

“MY ARCHITECT”

An Academy Award nominee for Best Documentary, the film “My

Architect” will be shown by Regency Theatres. The movie tells the

story of Louis Kahn, who died bankrupt and alone in 1974 in New

York’s Penn Station and is often considered the most important

architect of the second half of the 20th century. The film is written

and directed by Nathaniel Kahn, Louis Kahn’s son. The movie will

***”TABLETOP”

will be the Laguna Playhouse’s final play of the season. The play

is a comedy set in an advertising agency specializing in high-end

tabletop imagery. The play will contain adult content and language.
