Museum’s spring benefit is May 6
Laguna Art Museum’s Spring benefit, “Around the World ... A Taste
of Travel and Cuisine,” will befrom 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. May 6 under
the stars at the Festival of Arts grounds, 650 Laguna Canyon Road.
Proceeds will support the museum’s exhibition and education programs.
The evening will feature sophisticated cuisine by prestigious
chefs, entertainment and a live and silent auction of international
travel and epicurean delights.
Auction items will include deluxe hotel stays in Greece, Ireland,
Canada, Mexico, New York City, San Francisco and Park City, Utah, as
well as a membership in the Balboa Bay Club.
Also highlighted will be an opportunity drawing for a stay at the
renowned Four Seasons George V in Paris, including round-trip airfare
for two on Air France. Tickets for the opportunity drawing are
limited to 100 and are available for $100.

tickets are $100 for members and $125 for nonmembers.
Laguna Surfrider fundraiser Sunday
The Laguna Beach Chapter of the Surfrider’s Foundation will have
its fundraiser for Blue Water at the Ocean Avenue Brewery from 3 to 8
p.m. Sunday. There will be live entertainment from four local bands:
the Blues Offenders, the Ken Garcia Band, the Alec Bridges Band and
Chris Wissler.
Raffle and auction items will be sold to raise money for the
Laguna Beach High School Surfrider water-quality testing program.
Tickets are $5 at the door.

Great Notes at Laguna Art College
First Sundays, a program of art exhibits and classical music
sponsored by the Laguna College of Art and Design, Laguna Beach
Live!, will showcase the Great Notes Wind Ensemble at 3 p.m. Sunday.
The ensemble is from Los Angeles and plays an eclectic program of
wind music that spans the last 100 years.
Come early to see the exhibit in the College Art Gallery, which
will open at 2 p.m. The Laguna College of Art and Design is at 2222
Laguna Canyon Road. Free parking is available. For information, call
