Edison to host CIF wrestling
Edison Hill will host the Coastal Division portion of the 2004 CIF
Southern Section-Toyota Individual Wrestling Championships beginning
Friday.
The event continues Saturday.
Friday’s competition begins with first-round action at noon. The
day ends with the consolation second-round from 6 to 8 p.m.
On Saturday, wrestling begins at 9:30 a.m. with the consolation
third-round.
The meet concludes later Saturday with the championship finals
from 6 to 8 p.m.
The Coastal Division will draw individual wrestlers from the
following leagues: Sunset, Mt. Baldy, Ocean, Serra, Southwestern and
Suburban.
The Coastal Division is one of six divisions holding championship
wrestling on both days.
The Edison High wrestling program is extending an invitation to
the championship meet to all current eighth-grade boys planning to
enter Edison as freshman in the fall.
The Chargers won the Sunset League championship on Feb. 7 with a
record 12 wrestlers, who qualified for Saturday’s CIF meet.

Water Polo Club holding registration
The Golden West Water Polo Club will hold two more registration
dates for its 10-, 12- and 14-and-under divisions.
The divisions are open to boys and girls grades second through
eighth.
Registration will be taken Feb. 17 and Feb. 24, at 6 p.m., at the
Golden West College pool.
