Harbor Day victorious over CdM

Avenging an earlier loss, the Harbor Day School seventh-grade boys
basketball team became the first squad in school history to claim the
Newport-Mesa Unified School District’s Intermediate championship when
it defeated Corona del Mar, 41-33, Feb. 5.
Andy Morrow scored 15 points to lead the offense while Blaine
Bolus added eight points. Danny Miller chipped in five points to go
with two points each by Jimmy Nelson, Nick Freeman, Danny Moskovits
and Scott Thomsen.
Miller led the defense with 12 steals, nine blocks and 25 rebounds
(14 offensive). Micahael Bear, Drew Brahs, Craig Jackson, Brad Jones
and Michael McKenna also contributed.
CdM dealt Harbor Day its only loss earlier this season.
