Sailors run into trouble

ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- It didn’t take big and physical Suak Rapids
High too long to figure out how to deal with Newport Harbor in the
first round of the St. Cloud Tournament Thursday as it used its big
front line (6-9, 6-5, 6-6) to an advantage, especially in lieu of the
fact it was able to get Newport Harbor’s 6-foot-8 Nedim Pajevic into
foul trouble.
As a result the Sailors of Newport Harbor were dealt a 58-50 loss
and are in the consolation round today at 2:30 p.m. against Mahtomedi
High.
Pajevic picked up two quick fouls in the third quarter for his
third and fourth personals, forcing him to the bench. He returned
late in the third quarter and fouled out with 3:00 left.
