An invitation to worship and sing praise
During the Christmas season, the members of the Christian Science
church in Newport Beach wish to extend an invitation for you to join
them in prayer and singing praise to God.
Sunday services are held at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., with Sunday school
at 10 a.m. Wednesday evening meetings at 7:30 p.m. offer a quiet
haven for focus on gratitude for healing experienced and
encouragement for those in search of the healing truth that dawned
with Christ Jesus’ appearance. The public Reading Room located next
to the church is open Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 4
p.m. Please enjoy this excerpt from “What Christmas Means to Me” by
Church of Christ Scientist founder Mary Baker Eddy:
“I love to observe Christmas in quietude, humility, benevolence,
charity; letting goodwill towards man, eloquent silence, prayer and
praise express my conception of truth’s appearing. The splendor of
this nativity of Christ reveals infinite meanings and gives
blessings. Material gifts and pastimes tend to obliterate the
spiritual idea in consciousness, leaving one alone and without His
glory.”
