Corona del Mar High seniors Artie Dorr and John Mann have been
named Co-Most Valuable Players of the Pacific Coast League for the
second straight season by the circuit’s boys water polo coaches.
Dorr and Mann, who helped the Sea Kings earn their fourth straight
PCL championship and a berth in the CIF Southern Section Division I
title game, are among seven Sea Kings awarded all-league recognition.
Senior goalie Beau Stockstill represents CdM on the first team, as
do seniors Jason DiRocco and John Money.
Seniors David DiRocco and Ryan Moore are second-team honorees for
Coach Tim Salvino’s Sea Kings, who dropped a 14-11 verdict to Long
Beach Wilson in the CIF title game to finish 22-8.
Dorr was CIF Division II Co-Player of the Year as a junior, while
Mann was a first-team All-CIF choice in 2001.
