The Huntington Beach Dolphins bid for an AFL Pee Wee Division
championship and a berth in this weekend’s Super Bowl fell just short
last weekend, as the Dolphins were edged by Inglewood, 20-18.
The AFL championship game, played in South Gate, featured the top
two teams from the AFL Central Division.
Division champion Inglewood advances to face Carson for the Jr.
Pee Wee Superbowl title Saturday.
Huntington Beach knocked off three postseason opponents to reach
the AFL final. Along the way, the Dolphins, the AFL Central’s No. 2
seed, routed Orange-East, 42-0 and Irvine, 28-6, and defeated Baldwin
Hills, 25-19.
