Brownie
Brownie, a rescued kitten, was born with her eyes open, which
caused the corneas to pop. She is undergoing eye surgery, courtesy of
the Community Animal Network, to correct her eyelids and regenerate
her sight, said DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, founder of the nonprofit
organization.
Brownie will be available for adoption Thanksgiving weekend.
“Our organization is defined as a vet medical rescue that treats
animals, rather than euthanizing them for curable conditions, which
is unlike most other groups in Orange County,” she said. “This is why
your donations ‘CAN’ make such a difference in a local animal’s
life.”
The organization, which has seen the death of two animals from a
fatal disease, has also witnessed great progress with little
Buttercup, the kitten whose pelvis was fractured.
While recoveries like Buttercup’s are ideal, the goal of the
organization is to give every animal it encounters great care and
love. The organization is in constant need of donations and foster
homes to help them facilitate its rescue mission.
