Newport Beach Golf Course’s Keith Wyrick, who plans to play in the
Champions Tour Qualifying Tournament next year when he turns 50, won
a Golden State Tour seniors event Friday at Menifee Lakes Country
Club.
Wyrick, a longtime starter and course-record holder at the club,
tied Lou Salem at 71. There is no playoff in a one-day tournament.
Wyrick won about $800 and it was his third Golden State title of the
year, his first since firing a 70-63--133 at Costa Mesa Golf &
Country Club in June.
