Five Coasters honored

Orange Empire Conference coaches selected five players from the
seventh-ranked Orange Coast College men’s soccer team to the All-OEC
team Wednesday night.
Freshman midfielder Derek Martell, freshman defender Nick Salantri
and freshman defender Robby Rossy were named to the first team with
freshman defender Robby Dulle and freshman forward Miguel Ochoa
second team.
Martell is second on the team with 24 points on 10 goals and four
assists while Rossy has a goal and an assist and Salantri has two
assists, helping the Pirates record six shutouts. The Pirates were
third in the conference.
Ochoa led the team with 14 goals (10 in conference) and 35 points,
finishing with a hat trick in a 6-2 win at Fullerton Monday.
Dulle played defense for most of the season but recently moved to
midfield and added a goal and six assists. He assists on corner and
free kicks.
Santa Ana’s Nazario Miramontes was named conference Player of the
Year and his coach, J.P. Frutos, took home Coach of the Year honors.
