The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each
day at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree if
desired. The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or
hot entree. School lunches are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served
this week:
TODAY
Munchable Lunch Salad with fruit yogurt or cheese pizza, crisp
green salad with ranch dressing, choice of fruit, choice of milk
WEDNESDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or turkey fryz, baby carrots with ranch dip,
baked nacho cheese Doritos, choice of 100% fruit juice, choice of
milk
THURSDAY
Oriental chicken salad with fresh baked whole grain roll or
toasted cheese sandwich, jicama sticks with ranch dip, pears, choice
of milk
FRIDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or Sloppy Joe on a bun, veggie sticks with
dip, choice of fruit, fresh baked cookie, choice of milk
MONDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or hamburger or veggie burger on a bun with
lettuce and pickles, potato smiles, choice of fruit, choice of milk
* The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry
tomatoes, crackers, protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds,
fruit yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts, and dressing.
