CONTEMPORARY SURF CINEMA

Steelehouse Distribution, will present “Momentum and Momentum UTI
(Under the Influence)” as part of its contemporary surf film series.
Momentum is a high-adrenaline classic featuring the top up-and-coming
surfers under the age of 23. The film highlights a new breed of
surfers on the brink of making surfing history: CJ Hobgood, Dan
Malloy, Mick Flanning, Bruce Irons, Taj Burrow, Damien Hobgood, Joel
Parkinson, Ben Bougois, Andy Irons, David Rastovich, and Dean

NO SQUARE THEATRE
The theatre presents “Bugsy Malone.” A cast of 54 youngsters play
Prohibition-era mobsters in this tongue-in-cheek tribute to the 1920s
gangster flick. This pie-flinging, pinstripe-wearing saga culminates
with a nonviolent gang war where flying pies take the place of
bullets. The musical will play at 7 p.m. Aug. 16 and 2 p.m. Aug. 17

The Art-A-Fair Festival is a community of nearly 130 artists who
have competed
to be a part of the juried competition. The festival will be open

p.m. Friday through Saturday through Sept. 1. Art-a-Fair is at 777

The Festival of Arts
Since 1932, the Festival of Arts has become world-renowned for its
juried fine art exhibition and the Pageant of the Masters. Free tours

Sawdust Art Festival
The Sawdust Art Festival features more than 180 local artists from
varied disciplines who showcase and sell their work. Adults and
children can participate in hands-on mini-classes with artists and
watch demonstrations in glass-blowing, painting, printmaking and
ceramics. The festival is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily through
Sept. 1. $6.50 for adults, $5.50 for seniors, and $2 for children;
$12 season pass and $16 annual pass that includes the Winter Fantasy.

Passport Laguna
The Laguna Beach Visitors Bureau has created the Passport to the
Arts, a single pass that gives visitors one admission to the

$15 and may be purchased at the visitors bureau or the four arts
