A boy shot in chest, is in critical condition

A young boy was critically wounded when he was shot in the chest in a
Huntington Beach intersection Tuesday night, police said.
At 9:55 p.m. Tuesday, police received several reports of gunshots
being fired near the intersection of Newland Street and Tamaru Drive.
Police arrived to find the boy, who is a juvenile, with a gunshot
wound in the chest. He was taken to UC Irvine’s medical center and was in
critical condition on Wednesday.
A witness reported seeing a maroon Cadillac driving westbound on
Warner Avenue after the shooting, police said.
