Laguna Surf and Sport capped a busy week of Laguna Beach Little League
action by racking up three victories in Majors Division play.
Surf and Sport 19, SportsWorld 5
Singles by Dalton Sype, Caine Fair, John Wes Robinson and RBI singles
by Christian Bosworth and Jaime Melchor staked Laguna Surf and Sport a
3-0 first inning lead. SportsWorld, however, tied the game at 3-3 when
James Borgese, who singled and stole home. Doubles by Sype and Michael
Tachovsky and an RBI double by Bosworth and RBI single by Robinson in the
third inning gave Laguna Surf and Sport the lead for good.
Sype, Bosworth and Melchor also had additional RBI singles. Robinson
smacked an RBI double, Nikko Okomoto-Coen stole home and also had a
two-RBI single and Tachovsky also stole home.
Jordan Ginger picked up an RBI triple and Joe Meehan had an RBI single
in the fifth inning for SportsWorld.
Surf and Sport 9, SJC Reds 4
Caine Fair had an RBI double, RBI single and also stole home. Michael
Tachovsky delivered a two-RBI double, Dalton Sype singled and stole home
and Jaime Melchor had an RBI single to pace Laguna Surf and Sport. The
pitching of Sype (three innings) and Tachovsky held the Reds scoreless
until the fifth inning.
Michael Albanese had an RBI double, Kevin Sweeny hit a single, which
scored two runs and also stole home. Hunter Stieffen tripled to lead the
San Juan Capistrano Reds.
Surf and Sport 13, Hobie 3
The Laguna Surf and Sport bats came alive as Michael Tachovsky doubled
twice with an RBI, Alex Garakian recorded a pair of RBI singles, Jaime
Melchor had a two-RBI double, Christian Bosworth and Matt Miller each had
an RBI double, Dalton Sype had an RBI and stole home and Caine Fair hit
an RBI single.
Matt Moisen had an RBI single, Eli Vizolay and Alex Germano each had
singles and Michael Praisler walked and stole home to lead Hobie.
