FRIDAY Attend the Season opener. The Huntington Beach Playhouse
will present the opening performance of “A Man for All Seasons.” It will
play until May 12. The drama, directed by David Colwell, will show at 8
p.m. Thursdays and Fridays; 3 and 8 p.m. Saturdays; and 2 and 7 p.m.
Sundays at the playhouse, 7111 Talbert Ave. Tickets are $7 on student
Thursdays and $14 to $17 general, plus a $1 city surcharge. Reservations:

SATURDAY Flip for flapjacks. The West County Family YMCA will hold
its annual Pancake Breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m., in Huntington Beach
Central Park. Cost is $3 per person. The breakfast will be the first
opportunity to sign up for YMCA summer programs including child care,

SUNDAY See contemporary friends. The Artists Corner Gallery will
present the show “Contemporary Friends,” an exhibit of watercolor and
mixed-media paintings by Barbara Lawson and Dianne Birnbaum for this one
last day. The gallery hours are: 1 to 9 p.m. Monday; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Tuesday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 1 to
5 p.m. Sunday. It is in the Huntington Beach Central Library, 7111
