Prep baseball: Sage Hill let down, 10-5

NEWPORT COAST - The Sage Hill High baseball team could not catch
visiting Oxford Academy, which scored five runs in the seventh inning to
post a 10-5 Academy League victory Friday.
Sage Hill sophomore Tim Wilkins, who suffered his fifth pitching loss
of the season, led the Lightning (6-8, 1-6 in league) with a 3-for-4
performance that came with a double, four RBIs and a stolen base.
Oxford improved to 8-5, 3-4.
The Lightning returns to action Tuesday at 3:15 p.m. when they host
Academy League rival Capistrano Valley Christian.
