Boys volleyball: CdM takes care of Mustangs in three

CORONA DEL MAR - The Corona del Mar High boys volleyball team drew
momentum from a first-game 16-14 win and went on to sweep Pacific Coast
League visitor Costa Mesa, 15-7, 15-3, Friday.
Senior John Grod led the way for the Sea Kings (5-2, 3-1 in the PCL)
with seven kills, while junior Bart Welch came up with six and Ryan Inman
contributed four kills and four blocks. Spencer Miller and Greg Gabriel
shared the CdM setting duties adding 11 and 12 assists, respectively.
Costa Mesa (9-5, 1-3) was led by seniors Carlos Jaime and Eli Solis.
The duo slammed 11 kills each.
