The Preservation Society of Huntington Dog Beach is seeking volunteers
for their monthly clean up day at Dog Beach from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Orange County Chapter of the California Assn. of Family and

The Huntington Beach Christian Women’s Club is holding a “Music,

MAY 1
The USCG Auxiliary Flotilla 53 will offer a four-lesson course in
boating safety at 6 p.m. Wednesdays starting May 1. Classes will be held
at the Boat/U.S. Marine Center, 16390 Pacific Coast Highway. The course
is designed for the limited-classroom-time boater, personal watercraft
operators and covers introduction to boating laws, safety equipment,

The Arthritis Foundation is holding its inaugural 5K “Walk This Way”

CIVIC GROUPS
The Huntington Beach Newcomers holds its Main Event Luncheon on the
second Tuesday of the month at various locations. The group will hold its
spring fashion show at 11:30 a.m., April 9. Reservations are required by

interest in the community with a wide range of interest groups.

PARENTING/FAMILY
The North Huntington Beach Mom’s Club Playgroup will meet weekly
throughout Huntington Beach parks. Playgroups will meet at 3 p.m.

actively seeking new members. The group offers stay-at-home and employed
mothers an opportunity to socialize and make lifelong friends with other

outings just for moms, and volunteer opportunities that benefit local

The Moms Offering Moms Support Club, a nonprofit support group for
stay-at-home mothers, organizes daily activities for mothers and their
children including park play days, fun field trips and age appropriate
