City track meet is Friday

The City of Huntington Beach is holding its 2002 Youth Track & Field

Meet Friday at Huntington Beach High.

Running events include the 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1,600m and

400m. Field events include the long jump, high jump, softball throw and

shotput.

Athletes may participate in two events, plus a relay.

Children born in or after 1987 are eligible to compete. Certain events

are restricted according to age.

Registration fee is $6 per athlete and begins at 3:45 p.m.

The first event is scheduled for 4:45 p.m.

General admission is $1.
