High school baseball: Lightning downed

Sage Hill High took a two-run lead, but visiting Brethren Christian
battled back to earn an 11-2 victory over the Lightning in an Academy
League baseball game Friday.
Zack Friedrichs went 2 for 3 with a double and a triple to lead Sage
Hill’s offensive attack. Also providing a spark was Marty McKee, who went
2 for 3 with a double.
Sage Hill (3-4, 1-3 in league) scored twice in the third inning to
take the lead, but Brethren answered with two runs in the fourth to tie
the score. The Warriors (5-2, 3-1) added four runs in both the fourth and
fifth innings and closed the game out with another run in the seventh.
Brethren Christian piled up 12 hits while Sage Hill had six along with
seven errors.
