Huntington Beach Pop Warner Football is holding registration Saturday
for its 2002 season. The sign up session will take place from 10 a.m. to
noon at the Edison High football.
Registration fees for both players and cheerleaders is $160 per person
and $85 for flag football players and cheerleaders. Player registration
fees include use of player practice and game uniforms, which they get to
keep at season’s end. Cheer registration fees include use of vest and
skirt, full warmup jackets and pants, which they get to keep.
Competition will be held at the following division levels: Mighty
Mite; Jr. Pee Wee; Pee Wee; Jr. Midget, and Midget.
Huntington Beach Pop Warner, through the support of the National
Football League, is promoting both athletic and academic fitness as more
than 71 National Little Scholar Awards were given out during the 2001 Pop
Warner season.

Marine View to host annual run/walk
Marine View Middle School will host its sixth annual Make Tracks for
Education 5K Run/Walk on April 21.
The 5K will begin at 8 a.m. along the beach path south of the
Huntington Beach Pier at Beach Boulevard. Funds raised in this event will
directly benefit the update of the library and computer and media center
at Marine View.
