AYSO Region 57: Silver Stars shine

Chloe Addington scored two goals to lead the Corona del Mar AYSO

Region 57 Silver Star all-star soccer team featuring girls under-12 to a

3-2 victory.

Jamie Lawson also scored for the Silver Stars. Goalkeeper Elena

Redelsheimer was strong in the net and received defensive support from

Sarah Wesley, Megan Gaal, Rene Mycorn and Allie Sheldon. The midfield was

dominated by Leah Zarian, Alexa Rome and Colleen Heyler.

In earlier action, the Silver Stars shut out the Newport Beach

all-stars, 2-0, and the Costa Mesa all-stars, 2-0. Goalkeepers Mycorn and

Redelsheimer had solid efforts. Heather Van Hiel and Heyler scored goals

in the first game. Zarian and Redelsheimer scored in the second game with

assists from Gaal and Lawson. The defense was led by Wesley, Sheldon,

Addington, Danielle Goodman and Annalise Leffler.
