Marine View Middle School will host its sixth annual Make Tracks for
Education 5K Run/Walk on April 21.
The 5K will take place along the beach path south of the Huntington
Beach Pier. The race will begin at 8 a.m. Funds raised in this event will
directly benefit the library and computer and media center at Marine
View.

Adventure run planned for weekend
The Great American Adventure Run is slated for Saturday at Central
Park West in Huntington Beach.
The 2.8-mile race begins at 8 a.m. A 4.8-mile race is set for 8:30
a.m. Those walking the race begin at 8 a.m. and may only walk the
2.8-mile course.
Division competition will be held in 13 and under; 14-17; 18-23;
24-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; and
80-plus for both men and women. Awards will be given in all divisions.
A late registration fee of $19 is required. To compete in both races,
a fee of $23 is required. Proceeds will benefit various Orange County
youth associations.
