*Beach Boulevard and Edinger Avenue: An elderly male was reported
driving extremely slow while waving both hands in the air at 11:19 a.m.
Saturday.
*Beach Boulevard: Trespassing was reported in the 17800 block at 9:28
a.m. Thursday.
*Beach Boulevard: A blue Buick Century was reported stolen from a
parking lot in the 18300 block at 4:37 p.m. Saturday.
*Bluewater Lane: A suspicious male sitting on a resident’s porch was
reported in the 16800 block at 6:19 p.m. Friday.
*Boardwalk Drive and Algonquin Street: A mentally ill male was
reported to be living in a red vehicle at 3:50 p.m. Friday.
*Briarcliff Drive: A man either taking pictures or looking at a
woman’s home with binoculars was seen in the 6200 block at 12:04 p.m.
Friday.
*Brookhurst Street and Hamilton Avenue: An unknown person shot a Beebe
and hit a woman’s foot at 7:09 p.m. Thursday.
*Brookhurst Street and Hamilton Avenue: A suspicious man claiming to
be a fireman collecting money for the New York relief fund was seen at
10:34 a.m. Sunday.
*California Street: Someone threw a corrosive liquid onto a parked car
in the 1200 block at 11:18 p.m. Thursday.
*Dairyview Circle: Three males were seen smoking marijuana in the
17300 block at 8:03 p.m. Sunday.
*Edinger Avenue: A male transient wearing dirty clothes was seen
sleeping in front of a business in the 7200 block at 6:40 p.m. Saturday.
*Elmwood Lane: A woman returned home to find her house ransacked in
the 18700 block at 12:47 p.m. Friday.
*Heil Avenue: Two trespassers were seen in a resident’s backyard in
the 4800 block at 12:12 a.m. Sunday.
*Heil Avenue: People were offering to sell used compact disc players
from a blue Honda in the 4800 block at 3:49 p.m. Saturday.
*Jon Day Drive: A resident came home to find his front door open in
the 10000 block at 10:20 p.m. Sunday.
*Main Street: A customer was hit by a Taco Bell sauce packet in the
100 block at 7:19 p.m. Friday.
*Mandrell Drive: Four males in the rear alley were seen smoking
marijuana in the 7700 block at 3:10 p.m. Thursday.
*Pacific Coast Highway and Brookhurst Street: A transient set up a
tent and was camping in the Talbert Marsh at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
*Pacific Coast Highway: A male transient in his 60s was seen pulling
his pants down while inside a store in the 17100 block at 9:23 p.m.
Saturday.
*Pacific Coast Highway: A 65-year-old male was seen scaring people
near a walkway in the 16400 block at 10:45 a.m. Thursday.
*Pacific Coast Highway: Two males were loitering, soliciting and
harassing employees in the 300 block at 5:21 p.m. Thursday.
*Palisade Drive: Golf clubs and a Sony PlayStation were reported
missing from a garage in the 6000 block at 10:29 a.m. Sunday.
*Portland Avenue: A 1992 Lexus was vandalized in the 200 block at 9:02
a.m. Sunday.
*Queens Lane: Four juveniles were seen kicking down a fence in the
17400 block at 4:37 p.m. Friday.
*Regina Circle: A child threw a rock through an apartment’s front
window at 16600 block at 3:13 p.m. Sunday.
*Reilly Drive: A white Toyota pickup gardening truck was reported
stolen from the 8200 block at 11:06 a.m. Thursday.
*Slater Avenue: A man reported that day laborers outside his apartment
were drinking beer, urinating on his property and talking inappropriately
in the 7800 block at 7:07 p.m. Friday.
*Warner Avenue: A male wearing a tank top and blue jeans, 5-feet-9
with a stalky build refused to leave a store in the 7100 block at 7:16
p.m. Friday.
