CdM boys win, 64-56

Corona del Mar High’s boys basketball team improved to 2-3 with a
64-56 victory over Santa Ana for 11th place at the La Quinta Tournament,
keyed by the 1-2 punch of sophomore Pancho Seaborn and junior Kevin
Mancillas, who poured in 26 and 24 points, respectively.
“Pancho really played well,” said CdM Coach Ryan Curry.
Seaborn connected on four of six three-point attempts and was
six-for-six at the line. Overall the Sea Kings missed just one of nine
from the line.
Mancillas nailed six of nine from the perimeter.
Santa Ana fell to 2-5.
Corona del Mar returns to the floor Monday with a 6 o’clock game
against Montclair at Sonora High in the first round of the Sonora
Tournament.
