Mrs. Crain’s first-grade class:
Brooke: “I am thankful for my home, my family, my food, my room, God,
America, day and night, the sun and the moon and the world.”
Amber: “I am thankful for my teacher, my pet, the sun, my room and my
home.”
Anthony: “I am thankful for my home, the world, my family, rain and
America.”
Mrs. Zamiska’s first-grade class:
Maddy: “I am thankful for the people that are in my classroom and the
people that I love.”
Mrs. Zamiska’s second-grade class:
Josh: “I am thankful for living and for caring people. I love
America.”
Kendra: “I am thankful for a wonderful family and a wonderful class.”
Mrs. Fassnacht’s third-grade class:
Abigail: “I am most thankful for my caring parents and friends. I am
thankful that I can go to school and don’t have to hide my face under a
shield and a veil. I am also glad that our country has realized just how
much we depend on each other. I am also thankful for God and Jesus.”
Alissa: “What I am most thankful for is knowing my dad before he
passed away. I am thankful because he always gave me love and support.
He always understood things that I did. I will always be thankful for
knowing him and having his love.
Austin: I am thankful for a mom that cares about me. A good school to
learn in, a peaceful place to live in, a very good home, a good friend,
to be living and to have a heart for love.”
Megan: “Some things that I am thankful for are my country and my
family. My family gives me a lot of support. In my country I am free.”
Mr. Versteeg’s third-grade class:
Alexandra: “I am thankful I have a roof over my head. I’m glad my
parents love me and I have parents. I am also thankful for the veterans
who fought in the wars to make the USA a free nation, and that I am
living in America. United we stand.”
Phillip: “I am thankful that I have friends to play with. I’m also
thankful that I have food to eat so I can stay alive. I’m thankful for my
family and my aunts and uncles to be here today, and my cousins to be
here today. I am thankful to have clothes to wear and I have a nice
school and day-care.”
Olivia: “I am thankful for my family. I am thankful for the people who
helped on September 11th. I am thankful that the war on terrorism is
almost over and we will come to peace. God bless America -- a proud
nation.”
Maren: “I am thankful for my nice warm home. I am thankful for the
food we have. I am thankful the Afghanistan war is almost over and for
the people that helped the firefighters and policemen.”
Miss Dixon’s fourth-grade class:
Alyssa: “I am thankful for lots of things this Thanksgiving. One thing
I am thankful for is my teacher. I’m thankful for her because she teaches
me the things that my classmates and I need to know. I also am thankful
for my friends because I don’t have any brothers or sisters in my family,
so they make me happy when I’m around them. One thing I’m really thankful
for is my family, including my cat. I am thankful for them because they
take care of me and give me things I need, but most of all, they love me.
I love Thanksgiving!!!”
Miss Burgos’ fourth-grade class:
Joshua - “I am thankful for many things. I am thankful for family. I
am thankful that I’m not abused. I am thankful for television. I am
thankful for homework coupons. I’m thankful for having life. I’m thankful
for the Ultimate Version of the Secret Machine. That’s what I am thankful
for.”
Miss Todd’s fourth-grade class:
Stephanie - “I am thankful for my parents. I am thankful for them
because they support me. They also make sure I am safe. They also love me
and protect me. I am thankful for living in a free country.”
Miss Mendoza’s fourth-grade class:
One student wrote: “I am thankful for both of my parents. My parents
always help me with my homework and many other things. I’m also thankful
for my friends they cheer me up when I am sad. I am thankful that my
parents have jobs so we can afford what we need. I am thankful I do good
in school at least in most subjects. I am mostly thankful I live in the
USA where everyone is free. I’m also mostly thankful that none of my
friends and family were killed in the NY attack, and are as well as me.”
Mrs. McPherson’s fifth-grade class:
Corrinne: “I am thankful for my parents for bringing me into this
world.”
Shelby: “I am thankful for the community we live in. It is a nice
community with nice people.”
Amanda: “I’m thankful for my teachers for helping me have a better
future.”
