Coast women stampede Southwestern

The beat goes on for Orange Coast College following a 14-4 rout of
Southwestern in the second round of the Long Beach City College Women’s
Water Polo Tournament at Los Alamitos Aquatic Center Friday.
Neisha Hoagland was the ringleader with four goals, while eight others
shared in the scoring which helped propel the Pirates, No. 1 in the
state, to a 23-0 record.
Christine McDonald and Kristina Miloslavic each scored twice for the
Pirates, with single tallies provided by Devon Wright, Erica Nicholson,
Tia Montalvo, Ellen Dolan, Courtney Brown and Shari Meyer.
Heather Deyden and Casey Finnegan shared goaltender duties. Deyden had
four saves and Finnegan stopped two shots.
Southwestern fell to 11-5.
The Pirates continue today in the semifinals.
