Marmi, an upscale women’s shoe store offering fashionable and

sophisticated European-influenced footwear and accessories, opened at

Corona del Mar Plaza in Newport Beach last week.

It’s the first store on the West Coast for Marmi, offering the latest

styles from Sesto Meucci, Can Eli and Rangoni of Florence in a large

selection of sizes. The store will carry sizes 4 to 12, including size 13

in some styles, and five widths, from super-slim to wide. Marmi will also

carry handbags, belts and sterling jewelry.

CUTLINES

1. The Karolina ($80), a stunning chain-mesh shoe with rhinestone

detail, is perfect with any color. The mesh bag by Bo’s Art Studio is

accented with rhinestones and sells for $156.

2. This mid-heel boot, the 208 by Sesto Meucci, comes in both camel

and black, with a matching sequin cuff ($235).

3. A patriotic gesture is appropriate at all times of the year. This

American flag bag by Frenchy of California is $200.

4. An Eric Javits hat with matching handbag is the perfect neutral

color -- and great for shade. The hat is $190; the bag, $310.

5. Brown is a hard color to find when it comes to evening wear, but

Marmi has it all. This Rangoni sling pump, in brown satin with

rhinestones ($135), is called Klooney. A brown satin tote with rhinestone

trim is the perfect accessory by Franchi ($109).

6. Accessories are what make a true statement. Show your style with
