WEATHER FORECAST
Clouds will make themselves known today, at least a bit. Partly sunny
conditions will produce slightly cooler highs today at about 73 degrees
in Costa Mesa and 70 in Newport Beach. Overnight, Newport-Mesa will dip
into the low 60s, but it shouldn’t feel too bad. Expect much of the same
come Saturday.

BOATING FORECAST
The westerly winds won’t be as light today as they have been recently
in the harbor. But they’ll still blow their typical 10 to 15 knots both
day and night, generating waves of 2 feet and southwest swell of 3 feet.
Patchy fog will develop late.
Out farther, the northwesterly winds will be a bit stronger, blowing
10 to 20 knots, creating waves of 2 to 3 feet and a northwest swell of 6
to 8 feet. As in the harbor, fog will develop tonight.
SURF
The waves they aren’t a changin’. In other words, they’ll still be
rolling in around the knees and waist today, and they’ll continue to do
so throughout the weekend too. At least some are larger than knee-high.
