The Independent visited College View Elementary School in Huntington

Beach and asked third-graders, “What is your favorite thing to do after

school?”

“Going roller-skating around the house. I go on the driveway and

street and like going fast.”

“Play with friends. We like to play with my dog Nikki. She’s a

14-year-old Springer Spaniel Dalmatian mix.”

“Going to my grandma’s house. My friends and I play tag and

hide-and-seek around the neighborhood.”

“Skateboarding -- I go on the sidewalk and across the street. We have

half-pipes in the neighborhood, which are more fun.”

“I go to my baby sitter’s house and play with my 5-year-old friend. We

play with dolls in the kitchen and with Pooh bear toys.”
