WEATHER FORECAST
Clouds will start us out this morning, but will clear for yet another
sunny day. That sun will produce highs in the mid-80s in Costa Mesa and
high 70s in Newport Beach. It should feel warmer, though.
A clear night will yield lows in the mid-60s, so it still won’t feel
like fall’s arrived. Expect an even hotter day on Tuesday. Enjoy it while
you can.

BOATING FORECAST
If you’re looking to get away to relax, the seas are the answer as
light winds blow in both the harbor and out farther. Expect a southwest
swell of three feet in the harbor and a northwest swell of six feet out
farther. Waves should be in the 1-foot range. Just keep your eyes open as
the morning and night fog rolls in thick.
SURF
As a new northwest swell builds, the area should expect some knee- to
waist-highs to roll in with the occasional 4-footer. The better spots,
however, will see some shoulder-highs and the occasional 5-footer. The
conditions should be decent, but not perfect.
