READERS RESPOND -- Where should the Orange County Museum of Art

move?
I’d want the building where it is, and build another one. Kind of like
splitting it up into contemporary and traditional art -- so as to provide
more exposure for the people. Other than that, I certainly wouldn’t go
into that congested area in Costa Mesa. I’d use that beautiful big space
behind the Central Library on Avocado Avenue. It would be a fabulous
place.

The Orange County Museum of Arts should be placed in the cliffs of the
Castaways -- up there with the ocean and bay view, where they could have
outdoor dining and enjoyment of the arts and the scenery.

I think the Orange County Museum of Art -- of which I’m a member, and
of which I’m a docent -- should definitely move to the South Coast Plaza
area adjoining the Orange County Performing Arts Center. I think that is
our “Century City.” I think that area is very similar to Avenue of the
Stars. I think that way, people from the central and north end of the
county will know where it is.
