Laugh out loud. Orange Coast College’s Repertory will stage a comedy
festival Thursdays through Sundays through July 29 at the Drama Lab

Challenge your perceptions. The Boudreau-Ruiz Gallery will present the
work by artist Javier Cortes Martinez from Zacatecas, Mexico, through
Aug. 26 at 3000 Newport Blvd., Newport Beach. The gallery is open 11

Picnic at the park. The Citizen Joe Band will play from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
at Wakeham Park, at Smalley Road and Salinas Avenue, as part of Costa
Mesa’s Concerts in the Park series. There will be activities for children

WEDNESDAY
Rock ‘n’ roll with Starship. Fashion Island’s Summer Concert Series
will bring the band to town at 6 p.m. The series will continue through
Aug. 22 with a mix of pop, rock, jazz, swing and new wave concerts at
Fashion Island, 900 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach. Admission is
