Music director Carl St. Clair has signed a contract extension with the
Pacific Symphony Orchestra, which means he will remain at the symphony
through September 2006.
In his 12th season with the symphony, St. Clair has lead the group
artistically and been an important part in helping to create educational
programs including the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Pacific
Symphony Institute Orchestra and the Frieda Belinfante Class Act.
Under his new contract, the director will be with the symphony for its
25th anniversary in 2003/2004 and the debut of the Renee and Henry
Segerstrom Concert Hall at the Orange County Performing Arts Center,
which is slated for 2005.
Fandango to service local movie theaters
Fandango, a remote ticketing and information service, will offer its
services at more than 200 Edwards Theaters locations in Los Angeles and
surrounding areas, including screens in Costa Mesa and Newport Beach.

Linden replaces Moreno at the Center
Performer Hal Linden will replace Rita Moreno for the Orange County
Performing Arts Center’s 2001-2002 Cabaret series lineup. A Tony and
two-time Emmy award winner, Linden will make his Founders Hall debut
performance Dec. 13-16.
Moreno withdrew her engagement because of scheduling problems.
