Prep softball: Tars’ trio honored

Newport Harbor High sophomores Athena Vasquez, Bailey Bearden and
Shelby Crisp have been named second-team All-Sea View League by the
circuit’s softball coaches.
Vasquez, a leadoff hitter and shortstop, hit .388 this season, while
Bearden, a catcher, hit .308 and Crisp, a third baseman, hit .355 for the
Sailors, who earned all nine victories outside of Sea View competition.
Woodbridge junior Kayla Creamer shared MVP honors with sophomore
teammate Brittany Crouch.
