Ready to run?

It’s time to tie the laces on your running shoes.

The Corona del Mar Scenic 5K, now in its 20th year, will take place

today, with the first race set for 8 a.m. Registration will begin at 6

a.m.

Runners will follow Corona del Mar’s oceanfront bluffs and wind

through residential areas.

The annual benefit will include separate races for men and women. Each

race is limited to 1,500 runners, and awards will go to the top three

runners in each category.

Children 3 to 10 are invited to participate in a separate 1K Dolphin

Dash race.

Proceeds will be used by the Corona del Mar Chamber of Commerce to

beautify the village, with a portion given to the city’s recreation

programs.

Parking will be available at the Corona del Mar State Beach lot below

Ocean Boulevard.
