Kelly Fitzgerald and her band, Vesica Pisces, will be inducted into

the Guinness/Muldoon’s Irish Wall of Fame at 2 p.m. Saturday in a

courtyard ceremony. Previous inductees to the wall, located at Muldoon’s

in Newport Beach, include actor Tom Berenger, singer Maureen McGovern and

songwriter John Stewart. Vesica Pisces is the current winner for best

contemporary adult band at the Los Angeles Music Awards. The band, which

has recently signed a recording contract, will give a free concert after

the induction ceremony.

Food fest to help curb hunger

Summer Solstice: A Festival of Fine Food and Wine will be held from

5:30 to 9 p.m. June 28 in South Coast Plaza’s Crate & Barrel/Macy’s Home

Wing to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank and Someone Cares Soup Kitchen.

In its ninth year, the festival brings together local restaurants and

vintners from across California to help raise money to combat hunger.

Restaurants participating include Cafe Pascal, Armani Cafe, The

Clubhouse, Bluewater Grill, Gustaf Anders, Darya and Maggiano’s. Robert

Mondavi Wines and Atlas Peak are among the wineries helping out. The

evening will also include live music.

Tickets for Summer Solstice are $40 in advance, $50 at the door. Group

Guillem’s ‘Giselle’ to premiere at the Center

The Teatro alla Scala Ballet Company of Milan will perform the

American premiere of Sylvie Guillem’s “Giselle” at the Orange County

Performing Arts Center at 8 p.m. July 13-14 and 2 p.m. July 14-15.

Guillem’s interpretation of the classic ballet, which tells the story of

a peasant girl with a weak heart and a passion for dancing, will only be

performed one other time in the United States, at the Lincoln Center

Festival in New York.

Teatro alla Scala will also dance a double bill of “Carmen” and

“Amarcord” at 8 p.m. July 10-11. The Center is at 600 Town Center Drive,
