Boys volleyball: Sea Kings sweep past Northwood

CORONA DEL MAR - The Corona del Mar High boys volleyball team won
its second straight Pacific Coast League match with a 15-8, 15-5, 16-14
triumph over visiting Northwood Friday night.
Brian Gallagher led the Sea Kings (3-2, 2-0 in league) with 15 kills
and six digs, while Charlie Alshuler chipped in 14 kills.
Setter Evan Burden sparked the offense with 42 assists, while Bart
Welch anchored the defense with 10 digs.
Coach Steve Conti was also pleased with the play of Garrett Macklin
(five kills), Ryan Inman (five kills, two blocks) and Pat Flynn (three
kills).
The Sea Kings will host Estancia Wednesday, beginning at 5:45 p.m.
