Mariners KO Rangers, 10-0

Behind the one-hit pitching of Peter Bryson and Chad Heberden and an
explosive offense, the Braves posted a 10-0 shutout of the Rangers in
Majors Division weekend play at Huntington Valley Little League.
The duo also struck out seven, and Heberden also paved the way on
offense for the Braves by going three for four with a double. Justin
Draeger finished with a pair of doubles.
In other games:
A’s 2, Diamondbacks 0
Race Parmenter struck out four and allowed just one hit in four
innings, and Alex Barnes also pitched for the A’s. Parmenter also singled
twice, and Kevin Oakley had two singles and two runs batted in. Barnes’
brother, Chase, struck out six in five innings pitched for the
Diamondbacks, who got a double from Travis Camerena.
White Sox 14, Angels 1
Michael Mendez doubled twice with two RBIs, Hunter White singled and
doubled with three RBIs, Anthony Vidal doubled and singled with two RBIs,
Justin Thompson singled twice, and pitchers Michael Bogard and Drew
Johnson combined to strike out 10 while allowing four hits to power the
White Sox. Kirk Hodgeman singled twice and scored the lone run for the
Angels.
MINOR A DIVISION
Cardinals 7, Marlins 4
Nick Mazzone struck out four and didn’t allow a hit in 2 2/3 innings
pitched and also doubled and singled offensively; Tim Higgins finished on
the mound and went on to strike out seven and also had a hit on offense
for the Cardinals; Tanner Phillips pitched four innings, striking out
eight, and also had two singles and an RBI, and Josh Herrera singled with
an RBI to lead the Marlins.
Dodgers 7, Yankees 6
Stuart Chenier singled and doubled, Kasey Bustamante singled twice,
and Christian Slaton struck out six over three innings to lead the
Dodgers. Matt Jacinto ripped a pair of doubles and finished with three
RBIs, and Ricky Marin and Trevor Springman each had two singles for the
Yankees.
Mets 10, Indians 4
Cole Carden and Jacob Augeri doubled for the Mets. Alex Holtz singled
twice for the Indians.
MINOR B DIVISION
Marlins 5, Cardinals 2
Nick Hanson singled twice, and Richard Varalla doubled for the
Marlins. Zack Michael went two for two with a double to lead the
Cardinals.
