COSTA MESA
* East 17th Street: An assault was reported in the 300 block at 12:03
a.m. Saturday.
* Golf Course Drive: A leather brief cases, a laptop computer,
personal checks and miscellaneous items were stolen from a 1999 Lexus in
the 1700 block between noon and 6:45 p.m. Thursday. The value of the
goods stolen is estimated at $4,100.
* Harbor Boulevard: A petty theft was reported in the 2300 block at
9:59 a.m. Thursday.
* Harbor Boulevard: A petty theft was reported in the 2000 block at
10:54 a.m. Thursday.
* Harbor Boulevard and Victoria Street: An 18-year-old man was
arrested on suspicion of having two outstanding warrants and riding
without a required bicycle license, possessing less than an ounce of
marijuana and violating probation at 12:06 a.m. Thursday.
NEWPORT BEACH
* 35th Street and Lake Avenue: Police reported that someone allegedly
stole a wallet with contents worth $412 from a purse left in a park at
12:15 p.m. Sunday.
* Balboa Boulevard and 31st Street: Police arrested a man on suspicion
of possessing a controlled substance at 3:43 p.m. Sunday. Bail was set at
$10,000.
* Bayside Drive and Coast Highway: Police arrested a man on suspicion
of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs at 2:36 a.m. Sunday.
Bail was set at $2,500.
