The Costa Mesa City Hall, at 77 Fair Drive, and the Corporation Yard
building, at 2300 Placentia Ave., are being retrofitted to improve their
earthquake resistance.
The project is expected to take nine months, but both buildings will
stay open during the work.
The north side public entrance to City Hall is temporarily closed,
however, and visitors must enter from the building’s south side.
Visitor parking has also shifted to south and east of the building.
From May to August, the north entrance will reopen and the parking
will switch back.
The Corporation Yard building entrances will be unaffected by the
seismic retrofitting.
