Men’s basketball: Lions fall in opener

COSTA MESA - The Vanguard University men’s basketball team opened
it’s 2000-2001 season with a 78-70 nonconference loss to the Master’s
College Friday night.
Kemmy Burgess had 19 points and four rebounds to lead the Lions, while
Dennis Keane and Brandon Cablay each added 13 points.
The host Lions held a two-point advantage with two minutes left in the
game, but could not hold on. Jacy Armbruster led The Master’s with 34
points and 10 rebounds.
